Challenge Cabinets: Estimator / Client Liaison

Challenge Cabinets is a long standing cabinet making/stone fabricating business in Malaga and are searching for an Estimator / Client Liaison to join the team.

The Role:

You will be responsible for preparing quotes for various builders and private projects. In addition there will be liaison with builders and clients to discuss their cabinetry scope of works.
Your key responsibilities are:

• Preparation and administration of quotes ensuring accuracy and timely submission
• Assist clients/builders with any prestart enquries or general queries regarding cabinetry
• Possible opportunity to work with individual clients and assist with their design and scope of works for cabinetry

We are looking for:

• Ideally 12 months experience either in estimating or prestart administration
• Able to accurately read and interpret drawings and specifications
• Experience in using Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
• Keen eye for detail
• Great verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Take pride and ownership of your work
• Full time position (opportunity for part time)

We are excited to announce we are expanding, and we are in search of a qualified Full-time Kitchen & Cabinetry Designer/Salesman to join our dynamic team.

If you have a passion for creating beautiful and functional kitchens, spaces & bespoke cabinetry and have determination and the mind set to get up and go, then this position is perfect for you. We are built upon 22 years’ experience in the industry, having produced some of the finest award-winning cabinetry for a family business. We are proud members of the Cabinet Makers Association WA, The HIA and Master Builders Western Australia.

The ideal candidate

• Preparation and administration of quotes ensuring accuracy and timely submission
• Technical skills, the ability to read and interpret plans ensuring that projects are executed according to precise specifications, reducing the risk of errors and miscommunications
• Understanding of design principles such as colour theory, layout, navigate building codes, regulations and limitations
• Adaptability and a willingness to continuously learn and evolve with emerging trends
• Effective communication and listening skills allowing clients to articulate their vision
• Strong problem-solving skills is essential
• Most importantly someone understands the importance of a good laugh, can keep the mood light even during busy times, and helps create a happy, stress-free workplace

Responsibilities

• Design, quoting & selling of bespoke cabinetry
• Preparing proposals and presenting to clients onsite or at their homes
• Completing relevant documentation
• Liaising with clients, contractors and sales reps
• Proactive efforts to seek out potential customers and pursue leads, with support and backing to do so
• Networking
• Sourcing opportunities and helping arrange/ organise and attend, events, home shows etc.
